Real projects
Conservatory Table Project
The brief was to create a 2.2 m diameter round table for a conservatory. The challenge lay in designing a piece of furniture that could fit through the doorway, be transported in a van, and incorporate a frame that both allowed seating all the way around and provided sufficient support for a tabletop of this size.
The solution was to construct the table in two halves, which were assembled on site. The final result exceeded expectations, with the frame proving not only robust but also an elegant and refined design.
Kitche & Bathroom Project
This kitchen and bathroom project in Oxfordshire was part of a new-build home, where the owner wanted an unconventional, minimalist kitchen. Storage is provided by two very large double pantries, a double-sided island, and a bar-stool table.
We also designed and made the vanity units for all the bathrooms, coordinated in burgundy and light grey to create a striking and cohesive interior. The high table was conceived as an extension of the island, allowing generous seating for larger groups.
As the client was closely involved in the development of the COVID vaccine during the pandemic and frequently hosts business meetings with American partners, there was a clear need for an exceptionally large table suitable for both work and entertaining.
The Ultimate Island Kitchen Challenge
For this home in Devon, the client wanted the entire kitchen to be completely freestanding, with no units fixed to the walls. The island accommodates a large double Belfast sink at the front, a generous seating area to the right, and space on the left for a dishwasher or fridge, with the remaining areas dedicated to storage.
Delivering and installing such a substantial piece on an active construction site, with no suitable access, presented a significant challenge—one that was successfully overcome.
Kitchen Peninsula & Daybed
This project involved the addition of a peninsula island and a wall unit, carefully designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing kitchen. The new elements enhanced both functionality and flow within the space, while also incorporating a bespoke daybed that added a relaxed, informal seating area.
A few months later, the design was further developed, with the original daybed extended to form a generous daybed–corner sofa. This evolution created a more versatile and inviting space, perfectly suited for both everyday use and entertaining.
